When many young drivers go in search of their first car, they often end up with a money pit.  It is the goal of this site to make only top quality vehicles available anytime potential buyers visit the site.

We are here to help. Here at Grannys Cars, we list cars that fit that description: cars that have been used, but taken care of.

About Bob

I am Bob, and I am the site owner. My first car was a 1958 Renault Dauphine (see below).  It cost $250.00 and was a good running little car, except it started to fall apart quickly.

1958 Renault Dauphine

The driver's front door post had been rusting away on the inside when I bought it, but not very noticeable.  It got so bad that I had to hold the door closed while driving. To make matters worse, it was a standard shift.   The next thing that happened was three of the four tires were dry-rotted and had to be replaced.

This was back in the 1960s when the two major ways to find a car were in the classifieds or word of mouth.  I had been searching for a car for a while and had a limited amount of cash to work with.

It wasn’t a bad car, and I don't regret choosing it, but if I had the luxury of vehicle listings on the internet that had a screening process, I could have found something even better for the money I had.

What it took me weeks to do can now be done in an hour or less with much better results. I am sure there are quite a few baby boomers that can relate to this story.

Thank you for choosing Grannys Cars.
